Capita Strategic Children’s Services has extensive experience in supporting schools, local authorities and the national government on a wide range of capital related projects including Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and the Academies programmes.
Working alongside Capita Symonds, we have provided the education lead role on a number of schemes as part of the Academies project management function.
In the case of BSF, Capita Strategic Children’s Services has been appointed to the Partnership for Schools (PfS) national framework for the provision of education and children’s services advice and support to local authorities and has been involved in leading Local Authority client teams during the procurement process. We have also supported a number of private sector bid teams and, hence, have experience of the programme from both the public and private sector perspective.
In relation to wider capital programmes, we have provided direct support to Local Authorities in such areas as pupil place planning, feasibility studies and the development of strategic documentation.
Capita Strategic Children’s Services has also been active at a national level and supported the DfE in the assessment of Local Authority Primary Strategies for Change.
