An Eastern England Borough Council requested support during a period when a senior manager was seconded internally to manage preparation for the Joint Area Inspection. The consultant assignment was to lead the development of the Sure Start and Early Years service plan 2008 -10.
The project involved development of a strategic framework to underpin future service planning and support increased integration between service areas. The Capita Strategic Children’s Services consultant adapted the service plans to continue the delivery of services at a time of significant departmental change.
Success in maintaining service delivery was acknowledged in the Authority’s JAR assessment.
