A local authority was successfully supported to address serious problems with high school exclusion rates and very low levels of attainment at GCSE. Capita SCS provided an interim manager who improved capacity and performance with colleagues across SEN/Inclusion Division. This work impacted very positively on the work of the Directorate and the number of permanent exclusions fell significantly. Fixed term exclusions also fell at the same time and attendance and attainment both improved.
