Professional Background

Having worked in a range of secondary schools across the country, in both inner city and rural areas, our consultant has significant experience of teaching and school leadership. She worked in the school improvement service for a number of years where she lead a team of advisory teachers. After leaving a local authority she worked as a consultant with a number of schools and local authorities and ran nationally advertised and very successful courses.

She is an Ofsted trained inspector and is an accredited PRINCE 2 practitioner. During her period with a local authority she studied to achieve a masters degree in education research. She has specialised for many years in the area of assessment and is currently president of AAIA (Association for achievement and improvement through assessment) an association which she helped to found in the early nineties.

Profile

Our consultant has a particular interest and extensive experience in all areas where review and analysis is involved. She believes that good client relationships are essential in any project and actively seeks to develop mutual trust and respect. Her knowledge and experience of assessment for teaching and learning have been put to good use throughout her career.

Projects completed with Capita SCS

Now a group manager of Capita SCS our consultant has undertaken a wide range of projects with local authorities where her flexibility and generic skills have been very effective.

Specific projects have included:

  • Head of School Improvement in a northern authority
  • Support for a London borough during the preparation period for their joint area review
  • Review of a human resources service in local education authority
  • Significant role in the implementation of the school improvement partner programme.
