Capita SCS is one of the most successful providers of strategic children's services support. Over the last five years we have provided support to over 40 LAs. This has included major service improvement projects, with interim management teams working with LA staff to overcome capacity problems or serious weaknesses in certain services. We have helped to bring about rapid improvements in the quality of service provision – having worked with LAs that were experiencing difficulties, as well as highly successful LAs, to develop their services further.
We have continually developed our own service offering to ensure that we can support local authorities in implementing national developments and in finding ways to adapt to continuous change that is manageable, rewarding and can make a real difference to outcomes.

- Change management consultancy in Sunderland
- School Improvement consultancy in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
- Strategic management of Children's Services in Hertfordshire
- Pre-inspection support in Lewisham, Hertfordshire and Leeds
- London SEN Partnership: development of a framework for monitoring and accountability based upon self-evaluation by schools
